Ship regulations.

Short on purpose. Everyone aboard is expected to know these by heart.

• Aim for inclusivity.

  We don't discriminate on race, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, religion, or any other protected class. Bring your full self aboard.

• Protected speech, in the right space.

  NSFW content stays in age-restricted channels — the rest of the ship runs PG. The server itself is 18+, which is what makes that balance possible.

• Stay active.

  An active crew is what makes this community work. Going dark for too long may get you removed to make room for someone who'll show up.

• English only.

  All voice and text communication happens in English, so our staff can moderate properly.

• Staff have final say on membership.

  We can decline new members or revoke access and permissions at any time, for any reason, without needing to explain it.

• Girls'-club and boys'-club channels are protected spaces.

  girls-club is for members identifying as female, trans, or non-binary; boys-club is for members identifying as male, trans, or non-binary. Misrepresenting your identity to get into either results in heavy moderator action — please respect the privacy and purpose of these spaces.

• No spam or self-promotion.

  No server invites, ads, or unsolicited promo without staff permission — and that includes DMing other members links without their prior authorization. You may not solicit that authorization inside the server either. Violating this rule means a permanent ban.

• Zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or doxxing.

  No insults or derogatory remarks about appearance, race, religion, or any other personal attribute. Doxxing — sharing someone's photos, screenshots, or identifying info without consent — is an immediate, permanent ban. Members choose for themselves what to share here.

• Handle sensitive topics with care.

  Our crew comes from a lot of different backgrounds. Potentially sensitive or controversial subjects belong in a voice channel or a DM, not text, where tone gets lost. Hostility over politics or religion won't be tolerated anywhere aboard.

• Drugs and substances, kept in bounds.

  Illegal drugs and other prohibited substances — including their use, display, sale, or distribution — aren't allowed anywhere on the server, camera or voice included. Alcohol and marijuana are the only exceptions, and only within designated 18+ NSFW spaces like The Basement, The Cellar, or the Red Room. Being intoxicated doesn't excuse disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior.

• Treat the crew like crew.

  Disagreements happen, but everyone is expected to stay kind and respectful regardless of how they feel about each other. If you can't engage respectfully, it's better to say nothing. Personal issues go to DMs — a moderator or the person directly — not the public channels. We don't entertain public drama.

• 18+ only.

  The Refuge is an 18+ server, which is what lets us build the kind of shared experience and connection we're going for.
